Book Launch Workshop- Creating Visual Appeal!

The Book Launch- Creating Visual Appeal Through Book Trailers

With a father who never loved him, a woman who stole his worth, and a brother he couldn't protect, where does someone run in the face of his deepest shame?

This Saturday’s workshop will offer an overview on the book launch, focusing in-depth on creating visual appeal using Canva (for eye-catching posts) and iMovie (for amazing Trailers).

Supplies needed to get the most out of this workshop:

An apple laptop- unfortunately, the application for PCs that is comparable to iMovie (Apple) has been discontinued. For the workshop, we will use iMovie to demonstrate and practice creating Book Trailers. If you do not have an Apple, maybe you can borrow one. Also, I will bring two extra to lend out and we can share.

Pull out 5 or 6 phrases or statements most important to your current work in progress (WIP). Something that on its own would spark immediate interest (think movie trailer)

Gather at least 10 photos (the more the better) that represent your story. Make sure you have rights to these, meaning, don’t pull them off of google. Go on a free stock photo site, like “Unsplash” or “Pexels” and download them into a folder on your desktop.

Prepare to have a blast creating your trailer!

See you Saturday, March 2nd, 10AM-12PM
