ACFW:

ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) is a professional organization devoted to the craft of Christian Fiction. They offer writing courses, critique groups, and encouragement for new and published authors. They also host a national conference and run several contests for members throughout the year.

ACFW NY/NJ Chapter:

Our chapter is a smaller section of the national organization and covers the northeast of the United States. We have been meeting as a group for 7 years and, as chapter president, my heart is to continue to establish communities of writers who meet together and offer one another support and inspiration. We can’t do it alone. We need one another to cultivate our craft and move us forward on this journey of writing.  (See below for more details on our local chapter)

ACFW NY/NJ Monthly Chapter Meeting: Virtual

The first Saturday of every other month (October-June) from 10am-12pm on Zoom. Topics address all aspects of writing, from developing craft to publishing tips to author branding. Feel free to join us a couple times to see if it’s a good fit for you. From the larger group, we also help develop small critique groups with other writers in your genre and/or writing level. Cost for the chapter is $20/year. For more information, contact me at chergatto@journeywithwords.com
